About Me

My name is Bren, but I'm known as burningheartsinc online. I currently live in Manila and am studying animation, meaning i am an art student! I identify as a bisexual and genderfluid individual. I'm an illustrator and graphic designer, and soon, an animator. Most of the time, i consume music and film. I also spend a most of my time drawing.

For my tools, I use Krita to create my illustrations, and Adobe Photoshop to make my designs. I use an M-VAVE SMK25 MIDI keyboard and FL Studio to create music in the meanwhile. And for my sounds, I occasionally select on a variety of soundbanks from old video games and synths.

I started this site in early 2022 when I discovered Neocities. I've always loved the aesthetic of the old web because it had a unique identity and personality. It felt like a personal space where you could customize everything to your liking, something that the modern web and social media don't have. Another one was my old family PC. Yes, my old family PC. I grew up using Windows XP and Windows 7. I remember that every morning, I would go to the living room to use the computer, whether it was to watch YouTube or play Minecraft. One of my earliest memories is watching videos like Nyan Cat, PewDiePie, and Markiplier as a young kid.

As soon as I discovered Neocities, I signed up right away and began learning how to code through YouTube videos and W3Schools. This site has undergone numerous name changes and transformations, and honestly, i'm happy that i have discovered Neocities. This platform has given me the perfect space to express not only my ideas, but also the stories I have in mind to share, both fictional and non-fictional.

I have a lot of projects that i'm working on, but as of the current, i'm managing my web-zine As Long As You Want. Aa collection of images, text, and audio that i've either collected from various sources on the internet, or original projects that i've made by myself.
